The month of June came all its joyful feasts and cellebrations... At first, the Consolata Missionaries as usual we cellebrated the Feast of Our Mother, Our Lady Consolata on the 2oth June... It was a wonderful moment with all the Consolata Friends, lay and the people around us. Immediately came the feast of St. John the Baptist. The neighbourhood where we live is under the parish of St. John and so you could imagine the Feast of the 
Patron Saint here... To make it worse, in the province of Alicante and the Feast of the capital is St. John... So, it was feast after feast. As usual, they cellebrate it first decorating the streets with art works (fallas) criticising the society etc and this is later burnt as a sign of a new begining... With the feast of St. John the Baptist comes the Summer. So, it is hot... and hot... and hot.... But as if that was not enough, Spain crowned it all on 29th June, winning the Euro Cup after 44 years 
of constant struggle... It was a national feast and cellebration... People poured into the streets, young and old, men and women alike... This was followed closely with the international feast of St. Fermin whereby the bulls are the protagonists and the city of Pamplona saturated... You can't imagine running infront of those wild beast and a crowd of people infront of you... Many poeple were horned by these buffallo type bulls... Viva España!!!
El mes de Junio llegó con alegres fiestas y celebraciones... En primer lugar, los Misioneros de la Consolata como siempre celebramos la fiesta de nuestra madre Virgen Consolata el 20 de junio. Fue momento bonito con todos los amigos, laicos y todos los que nos apoyan. Inmediatamente llegó la fiesta de San Juan Bautista. El barrio donde vivimos es situado en la Parroquia de San Juan y por ende puedes imaginar la fiesta patronal del Santo aquí. Como si eso no fuera nada, vivimos en la provincia de Alicante y la fiesta de la capital es de San Juan... Así 
que era de fiesta en fiesta... Como siempre, decoran las calles con obras maestras de los artistas (Fallas) criticando la sociedad etc que luego se queman como signo de nuevo amanecer... Y con la fiesta de San Juan Bautista llega el verano... Asi que Calor... y calor... y más calor... Pero como si eso no fuera suficiente, España ganó la Euro Copa el 29 de junio despues de 44 años de constante lucha... Fue una celebración nacional y la gente se echó a la calle... jóvenes y también los viejos... hombre y mujeres por igual... Enseguida llegó la fiesta 
internacional de San Fermín donde los toros eran los protagonistas y la ciudad de Pamplona se quedó saturada... No te puedes imaginar corriendo delante de estas bestías y una multitud de gente delante de tí... Muchos fueron cornados por estas bestias de la familia de búfalos... Viva España!!!
